“Synergy: Business Networking and Career Fair” to Feature Information Seminars, Contracting Opportunities, and Job Fair

Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport will host the 9th Annual “Synergy: Business Networking and Career Fair,” on Thursday, May 2.  The event will be held from 7 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the BWI Marriott Hotel, 1743 West Nursery Road in Linthicum.

BWI Marshall Airport’s annual business and career fair provides a venue for small- and minority-businesses to acquire procurement information, with the goal of increasing their participation in the many contracting opportunities at the airport.  Local businesses will have the opportunity to interact with prime contractors and government procurement leaders. Morning seminars will feature information sessions for aspiring entrepreneurs and experienced business professionals regarding business certifications, bid preparation, and lending opportunities.

“BWI Marshall Airport is a major transportation asset and economic development resource for the state,” said Ricky Smith, Executive Director for BWI Marshall Airport.  “The Synergy event will connect local businesses with valuable tools and decision makers at BWI Marshall Airport.”

From 1:00 to 4:00 PM, a career fair will offer job opportunities and direct access to hiring managers.  Job candidates will have the chance to interview with airport-related businesses that are seeking a wide range of employees and attend information sessions on employment resources.

Further information and a full schedule are available on the event’s website— www.SynergyBWI.com.
