Terms of Translation Service

The Maryland Aviation Administration (MAA) provides translations of content through Google translator. Because Google Translate is an external website, the MAA does not control the quality and accuracy of translated content. All content the MAA filtered through Google Translate, which can lead to unexpected and unpredictable degradation of parts of the text, images and overall appearance of the translated pages. Google translator can maintain privacy policies and single use. These policies are not controlled by the MAA and are not associated with privacy policies of the MAA. After selecting a translation option, users will be notified that they are leaving the MAA website. Users should consult the Spanish in the MAA website if there are any questions about the translated content.

MAA uses Google Translate to provide language translations of its contents. Google Translate is a free automated service that is based on data and technology to offer its translations. Google Translate function is provided for informational purposes only. Translations are not guaranteed to be accurate or without the inclusion of inaccurate or inappropriate language. Google Translate is a third party service and site users will use translated content. As such, the MAA can not guarantee or imply responsibility for the accuracy, reliability, or performance of this service or limitations provided for this service, such as the inability to translate specific files as PDF and graphic files (eg .jpgs, .gifs, etc.).

Google Translate offers as an online tool for its users, but does not directly support the MAA family of websites or imply that it is the only solution for users. All visitors to the site can choose to use similar tools for your translation needs. Any individual or parties that use content in translation, either by Google Translate or any other translation services, do so at their own risk. The MAA is not liable for damage or problems translated content not sanctioned and approved by the official agency. The MAA assumes no liability for any of its activities in relation to the use of Google Translator functionality or content.

The Google Translate service is a means by which the MAA provides translations of content and is intended solely for the convenience of non-English website users talking. The translated content is provided directly and dynamically by Google; the MAA has no direct control over the content translated using this tool appears. BWI Marshall Airport Welcomes Contour Airlines

New Airline Launching Service Between BWI Marshall and Macon-Bibb County, Georgia

Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI Marshall) today welcomed the start of service from Contour Airlines, a new carrier for the airport. Contour initiated service today between BWI Marshall Airport and Middle Georgia Regional Airport, in Macon, Georgia. 

“As we continue to grow airline service, we welcome Contour Airlines,” said Ricky Smith, Executive Director of BWI Marshall Airport. “We know visitors from central Georgia will appreciate this efficient service. And we’re pleased to offer a new destination for our local customers.”

Contour Airways offers 12 weekly roundtrip flights between BWI Marshall Airport and Macon. The flights are on the airline’s 30-seat ERJ-135 jet aircraft. Tickets for the Contour Airlines service are available for purchase at http://contourairlines.com/ or 1-800-33-Contour.

A delegation of 30 government and business leaders from Macon-Bibb County, Georgia was on the first Contour flight that arrived at BWI Marshall Airport this morning. The visitors were eager to experience the quick, convenient access to Maryland and the National Capital region, where they later traveled via MARC train.

“We are delighted to be directly connected with our nation’s capital and that BWI Marshall Airport offers easy connectivity to the entire area, as well as the rest of the country,” says Macon-Bibb County Mayor Robert A.B. Reichert. “Adding Contour Airlines’ passenger service to the Middle Georgia Regional Airport is a great chance for people in the regions to learn more about each other."

MDOT MTA’s fast, affordable MARC Train service provides “ easy come, easy go” travel from BWI Marshall Airport to Washington, D.C., with multiple schedule options during weekday rush hours and frequent weekend service to Union Station.

“The trip on MARC Train takes just 36 minutes,” said MDOT MTA Deputy Administrator Suhair Al Khatib. “Centrally located, Union Station also provides easy access to a host of attractions in the nation’s capital as well as federal government agencies.

BWI Marshall Airport continues to set records for passenger traffic, with new airlines and service to new markets. The airport established a new annual record for passenger traffic in 2016, with 25.1 million passengers. Through June 2017, BWI Marshall Airport has posted 24-straight monthly passenger records.
