Bike Rack - A bike rack is located just outside the international terminal, close to the light rail station where a spur of the BWI Bike Trail meets the airport terminal.

BWI Marshall logo - The red and white symbol on the BWI Marshall logo was designed to represent forward movement and growth. Although it was not designed to represent either an airplane, bird in flight or the United State’s Capitol building many people see a connection and relate the logo to one of these or to an upward pointing arrow.

Family Restrooms – BWI Marshall has family restrooms in many locations throughout the terminal building. There are four on Concourse A - one before security between security and the bank, one just past security near the Phillips restaurant, one at gate A9 and one in baggage claim on the lower level.
There are five family restrooms in the Concourse B area - one at security, one near the Silver Diner restaurant, one at gate B2, another at gate B7 and one at baggage claim belt 5.
Concourse C has one family restroom - at gate C7.
There is one family restroom in the B/C Connector, which is also equipped with an adult-changing table.
There are three near Concourse D - one is in the upper level back hallway near Hudson News, one in the back hallway behind the Delta Air Lines ticket counter and one at gate D7.

Lockers – There are no lockers at BWI Marshall for luggage storage. All airport baggage storage has been suspended by order of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Contact your airline to inquire if they will allow early luggage check-in.

Nursing – BWI has two designated areas (pre-security) with signage, consisting of a few chairs adjacent to an electric wall receptacle, within the foyer entrance to the women's restrooms located on the upper and lower level of Concourse C. Additionally, there are no restrictions on nursing throughout the terminal..

One Pet Relief Area is located at the end of Concourse E on the lower level outside door #19, near the International Terminal and adjacent to the light rail station.
The second Pet Relief Area is located in front of the Hourly Garage. It can be accessed three ways:
- From Concourse B, use the B skywalk to access the Hourly Garage, take the Tower B elevator down to Level 3 (marked “3”). Follow the white lined path to the right and look for a concrete wall opening and red awning overhead on the right-hand side. The paver pathway leads to the pet relief area.
- From Concourse D, use the D skywalk to access the Hourly Garage, take the Tower D elevator down to Level 3 (marked “3”). Follow the white lined path to the left and look for a concrete wall opening and red awning overhead on the left-hand side. The paver pathway leads to the pet relief area.
- From Concourse C, take the center elevator down to the Tunnel level (marked “T”). Follow the tunnel to the Hourly Garage. Take the Tower C elevator up to Level 3 (marked “3”). Follow the white lined path to the right and look for a concrete wall opening and red awning overhead on the right-hand side. The paver pathway leads to the pet relief area.
Seating is available in both areas. Owners are asked to clean up after their animals, using the waste disposal bags and receptacles provided.
Pets - Please contact your airline for their specific pet travel policies. Please note, TSA passenger screening canine teams may be operationally deployed at the airport, especially near checkpoints. The canines are working animals that are trained to detect traces of explosives concealed on passengers or their belongings. Passengers traveling with pets are asked to use a checkpoint where the working dogs are not assigned at a particular time. Passengers traveling with service animals may continue to use the checkpoint with working dogs.
Rail station shuttles - Shuttle buses run between the airport terminal and the airport rail station approximately every ten minutes. The trip takes about ten minutes, depending on traffic. Rail station shuttle bus stops at the airport terminal are located on the lower level inner roadway. The shuttle bus stops at Concourses A/B, C, D and E. The driver will announce airline names at each bus stop. At the rail station, buses pick-up directly across the street from the station in front of the parking garage.

Smoking - BWI Marshall is a non-smoking airport. The only designated areas where smoking is permitted are the outer curb area (center Island) of the upper and lower level roadways in front of the terminal. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all other areas of the airport.
Time needed to arrive & check in at the airport - The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) currently recommends travelers arrive 2 hours before scheduled flights. More information and travel tips are available from the TSA at www.TSA.gov.

Washington DC Metro System from BWI Marshall - Washington DC Metro service is offered from BWI Marshall via the BWI Express/B30 Metro Bus between BWI and the Greenbelt metro station. The service provides a direct connection between BWI and the Greenbelt Metro Station. The BWI Express/B30 service runs every 40 minutes, 7 days a week to the Greenbelt Metro Station, which is located on the Green Line of the Washington Metro System. Buses run 25 times each weekday and 21 times on Saturday and Sunday, every 40 minutes. For more information call 202-637-7000 or go to www.wmata.com. At the airport terminal there are two Metro Bus Stops. One is located outside the lower level of International Concourse E and the other stop is located outside the lower level of Concourse A/B. The BWI Marshall Express/B30 Metro Bus will pick you up outside at the bus shelter. Follow the signs that say "Public Transit."
