We are thrilled to welcome passengers back to the airport this holiday season. Please understand the travel experience is different than in prior holiday seasons. The CDC continues to discourage travel unless you are fully vaccinated. CDC offers travel tips for non-vaccinated individuals here. The BWI Marshall Airport team and our partners remain hard at work to ensure your airport visit is both safe and enjoyable. 

Federal regulations continue to require face coverings throughout the airport terminal and aboard airport shuttles. Click here to learn about free face coverings being distributed at our Information Desks. Dozens of hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the terminal, including both before and after each security checkpoint. We continue to encourage passengers and workers to take part in frequent and thorough hand washing, maintain social distancing when possible and minimize interaction with touchpoints. Audio announcements also provide passengers with travel and health information. 

While airline capacity remains down from 2019, this holiday season will bring busy periods passenger traffic to the airport. Please plan to arrive 2 hours prior to your scheduled domestic departure and 3 hours prior to international departure. This allows ample time for parking, ticketing and check-in, security checkpoints and anything else you may need to take care of. Delays on airport shuttles are possible due to driver shortages.

We encourage drivers to utilize our Upper Level roadway for both passenger drop-off and pick-up to help alleviate congestion during peak travel periods. Our Cell Phone Lot is a safe and convenient place to wait for arriving passengers.
